Champanharia do Largo (Avenida Liberdade)

Type of Cuisine: Portuguese "tapas"
Atmosphere : Relaxed
Specialties : Sangria and Caipirinhas with a Champagne base (Note: Sangria is a portuguese typical drink, and caipirinha is a typical brasilian cocktail - both are the result of mixing an alchool beverage with fruits and ice)
The Best : Retro athmosphere and deco , innovative concept ( Champagne as the center of the meal) and well prepared food
The worst : we haven't found anything wrong with this restaurant .. wooray!
What have we tasted? :- Red Fruits Champirinha : a great choice to start your meal - good balance between the sparkling wine and the fruit, the sweet tooth people might be disappointed though ... it is not too sweet ...- Peixinhos da Horta: an interesting variety of vegetables hidden under well prepared batter and fried to perfection !- Sliced steak with sweet potato chips : served on a wooden board , rare as it has to be, and seasoned with rock salt just after cooking ... definitely not to be missed
- Roast suckling pig belly: Great taste and presentation... the only seen to be the fact that the skin of the piglet was not crunchy (as is should...)
Price per person : 25 €
deal for: Dinner with friends

Restaurant Go Juu (Japonese | Gulbenkian Area)

This Japanese restaurant was born in early 2015, and aims to be a tribute to Aya (one of the best Japonese restaurants ever in Lisbon, that has closed down a few years ago).
At Go Juu there is huge care with the aesthetics of the meal (from decoration of the room to the dishes it self), the freshness of the fish is remarkable, the menu is wide enough, and the service friendly and effective ... for all of this we can say: mission accomplished!

Setting: Quiet and sophisticated
We loved: The TV's in the back, where you can watch the sushimen preparing your meal. Also to highlight the setting and the quality and authenticity of the cuisine
We hated: Nothing to point out
To taste:
- Eggplant with miso sauce
- Vegetable Tempura (light and crispy)
- Sushi to Sashimi (super fresh fish, carefully prepared)
Price per person: Approx € 30
A must go for: the purists and for those interested in widening the knowledge of Japanese cuisine (there is much more to life than Sushi to Sashimi)
Tip: For small groups (up to 2/3 people) book for the bar, where you can emerge further in the experience of Japanese cuisine.
Friendly Tip: It's best to book ahead

Restaurant Rabo d'Pêxe (Saldanha)

It's easy to fall in love with the Rabo d'Pêxe restaurant (in Saldanha): products that come (almost) exclusively from Azores, a cuisine inspired by both Portugal and Japan, warm atmospher and a good wine list! The even better part is that this love is both ways, with Rabo d'Pêxe loving you back through  original and well made dishes. What still must to be improve at Rabo d'Pexe, is the service: although friendly, proved to be a little slow (surely justifieddue to the fact that they were still in soft opening).

We loved: The inventive dishes and cozy place! We look forwardfor the summer, to be able to dinner with the stars on the terrace of this restaurante (now covered)

We definetely recommend:
- Pompano with foie gras Prego (a kind of meat sandwich)- A unique and delicate combination, very well done.
- Fried corn with black squid strips - The black squidwere fried just right (crunchy on the outside, with the squid inside very tender) this is a great dish to share

Price per person: Approx € 25
